- # Fixed Operations SpecialistApply: Remote: Remote - Michigan: Full time: Posted Today: JR-202620228**Job Description****Field Work Arrangement:** This is a field-based position that requires up to 75% travel to dealerships within the assigned territory on a recurring basis. The selected candidate must currently reside within the Michigan or Ohio territory or be willing to relocate to Detroit, Southeast Michigan, or a surrounding area approved by leadership within 60 days of the start date. **The Role** The Fixed Operations Specialist has the territorial responsibilities of empowering a cohesive and adaptable team of Zone and District Managers who integrate parts and service functions on a day-to-day basis. They may be involved in a variety of initiatives including training, coaching, as well as process integration, tools development, performance and analysis reports and business planning. **What You'll Do (Responsibilities)** * Serve as a trusted advisor to Zone and District Parts and Service Managers, providing guidance and support to achieve business objectives.* Drive revenue growth, key performance indicator (KPI) performance, and effective execution of Customer Care and Aftersales programs and initiatives.* Identify, address, and resolve Zone and District business needs across areas such as inventory management, warranty, customer experience, retention, training, and electric vehicle compliance.* Develop, implement, and document action plans to address performance gaps, business challenges, and emerging opportunities.* Partner with regional and field teams to ensure execution aligns with business goals, performance metrics, and established action plans. **Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)** * Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience* 5+ years of relevant experience, guiding and improving fixed operations* Proficient automotive industry knowledge and business acumen including parts, service operations, warranty administration and customer experience* Ability to travel >50% of the time domestically, cross multiple states within the region* Must possess and maintain the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle in accordance with the licensing requirements of the states in which work is performed **What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications)** * Experience leveraging dealer performance and financial reporting tools to drive business insights and operational improvements.* Strong consultative and relationship management skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.* Results-oriented professional with demonstrated success leading change and driving business outcomes.* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.* Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.* Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.* Proven ability to think strategically, adapt quickly, and lead in remote or matrixed environments.* Demonstrated innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement mindset.* Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, adaptability, and accountability.* Strong customer focus with the ability to navigate complex situations and resolve conflict effectively.GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
