If so, we want YOU to lead our Activities Department!We're looking for an enthusiastic Activities Director who can create meaningful experiences, spark joy, and help our residents stay active, engaged, and smiling every single day.What You'll Do:Plan and lead exciting daily activities, games, crafts, outings, and special eventsOrganize holiday celebrations, entertainment, and community events Build meaningful relationships with residents and their familiesCoordinate volunteers and community partnershipsDevelop monthly activity calendars that everyone looks forward toEnsure activities meet state and federal regulations while keeping the fun alive!What We Offer:Competitive Salary: $43-48,000/yearMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) with Company Match (for eligible employees)Paid Time Off & Holiday PayOpportunities for Growth & Professional DevelopmentSupportive Team Environment where your creativity is encouraged!We're Looking For Someone Who: Has a positive, outgoing personality Loves working with seniors and making people smile Is creative, organized, and full of fresh ideas Has excellent communication and leadership skills Has experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, or a related field (preferred)If you're ready to turn ordinary days into extraordinary memories and help create a place our residents truly love to call home, we'd love to meet you!Apply today and start making every day brighter!General PurposeThe primary purpose of the Activity Director position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, local and corporate standards, regulations, and guidelines to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of each resident.Essential DutiesPlan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the resident-centered activities for the facility.Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, as well as professional standards.Provide good communication between employees of all levels, residents, their families, support personnel, government agencies/personnel, and the public to ensure the needs and best interest of the residents, community and facility are met to the extent possible.Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family.Participate in facility surveys made by authorized government agenciesAssist in reviewing and developing a plan of correction for activity deficiencies noted during survey inspections and provide a written copy of such report to the Administrator.Participate in regular meetings to include General Staff, Department Head, Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance (TEAM, Infection Control), Safety Committee, Marketing, Family and Resident CouncilAssist the Quality Assurance and Assessment Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified quality deficiencies.Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments.Assist in arranging transportation for residents when necessary including, but not limited to, resident outings, to/from appointments, or for discharge.Develop a monthly activity schedule for residents, which include resident outings, regularly scheduled group activities, and in-room activities for bed-bound or isolated residents.Encourage residents to participate in self-initiated activities including hobbies, crafts, and reading Provide materials as necessary including reading materials in Braille or audio books as appropriate.Ensure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and of the resident's response to the service.Supervisory RequirementsAssist with the overall supervision of and management of the activity staff.QualificationEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.Preferable one-year experience in a long-term care facility.Language SkillsAbility to read technical procedures.Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsActivity Director certification.Physical DemandsThe essential functions of this position require the following physical abilities: Standing and /or walking very frequently.
