Learn More About EAS Job Purpose The Contracts Specialist is responsible for award administration, contract lifecycle from review to execution, compliance and negotiation for Aerospace & Defense and commercial markets associated with specialty batteries, development programs, and government‑funded contracts within munitions. The role also supports data analysis and manipulation, FAR/DFARs/CFR compliance, representations and certifications activities, and internal reporting activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review and prepare contractual documents for management review, comment, and approval. Manage the review and tracking of contractual documentation, status, and approvals to drive the contract acceptance process through completion. Interpret, compile, edit, and proofread text and data from various sources for use in technical discussions, documents, reports, and proposals. Review contracts and terms & conditions for alignment with corporate standards, recommend strategies to negotiate mutually acceptable positions, and administer contracts to maintain compliance. Work with corporate resources to manage Contract, ITAR, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), and FAR/DFARs/CFR compliance. Ensure export compliance, program security, and regulatory compliance is maintained. Work with program management to establish consistent customer messaging related to all compliance related communications. Aid in the development, operation, implementation, and enforcement of internal controls and protocols. Qualifications Education and/or Experience must include the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or closely related discipline, or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience and/or other training.
- 2‑5 years of experience in government contracting with experience administering firm‑fixed and cost‑plus contracts.
- In‑depth knowledge of FAR, DFARs, and CFR.
- Thorough knowledge of CMMC, cybersecurity, and safeguarding of information.
