Referral Specialist I

City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Independence in Virginia Beach is looking to hire a Referral Specialist for our CAC Department. Position location: This is a remote position; however, candidates must be able to travel on-site when connectivity or power outage occurs to our Sentara Independence or Hampton locations. The Referral Specialist will perform at least one of the following functions: act as a liaison between the providers, patients, insurance companies, and clinical departments to schedule patients, verify insurance eligibility, and transcribe orders. Specialists are responsible for managing orders within their assigned work queues.
