Middle School Math Teacher

An ideal full-time Middle School Mathematics teacher is dynamic, has the ability to teach all levels of mathematics courses including Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometery and is interested in developing strong problem-solving and communication competencies in students. The teacher will work with our Middle School students in grades 5 through 8.Essential FunctionsInspire, engage, and encourage students in the study of MathematicsServe as an advisor; contribute to the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth of adolescentsCollaborate with colleagues to integrate math into other subject areasWork collaboratively with colleagues both inside and outside the Math departmentExpress a clear interest in becoming an active member of the McDonogh community by participating in school activities and working with students outside of the classroomDemonstrate a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.Respond to the needs of the School, including but not limited to, service learning, coaching, assigned duties, and other areas as determined by the Middle School HeadCompensation will be offered in the range of $55,000- $75,000.
