Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients within a Medical Surgical unit. This role involves coordinating patient care, documenting clinical information, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and patient needs.
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC charting system.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition promptly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical RN experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible scheduling including 3x12 hour shifts.
• Willingness to float within scope to meet unit needs.
