WestCoast Children's Clinic is seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor to support our EMPOWR, C-Change, and/or Outpatient programs. The Clinical Supervisor supports the training and evaluation of practitioners in providing community based mental health services for at risk youth. The preferred candidate is proficient in supervising all aspects of service delivery from a multidisciplinary team-based approach, monitoring service delivery, and in developing staff competencies especially for providers who are still in training or who are early career practitioners.
The supervisor's core responsibility is ensuring the quality and effectiveness of staff who provide community-based mental health care services, and in helping practitioners continue to develop their professional competencies.
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible that supervisees meet all applicable licensing, supervision, billing and documentation requirements. The Clinical Supervisor works collaboratively with WestCoast Program Directors to identify policies, procedures, and training needs.
Programs:Our clinical programs provide team-based trauma-informed care that supports youth through every phase of treatment and healing. Multidisciplinary teams collaborate closely with youth/participants, their families, and community partners to promote safety, stability, and long-term wellness.
EMPOWR (EMbracing Progress and Opportunities, We Rise)
EMPOWR is a team-based mental health program serving transition-aged youth (TAY), ages 16–24, many of whom are navigating serious mental health concerns, co-occurring substance use, histories of community violence and exploitation, and involvement in child welfare, probation, and other systems. Two multidisciplinary teams—each comprised of clinicians, case managers, and intensive care coordinators—share responsibility for a common caseload and provide coordinated, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant care. The program focuses on supporting participants as they build mental health stability, housing security, educational and employment success, and meaningful community connections.
C-Change: Transforming the Lives of Sexually Exploited Youth
C-Change provides intensive, team-based mental health services to youth who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation in the Bay Area. Through a multidisciplinary, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach, staff build consistent, trusting relationships and remain engaged with youth across all stages of healing. The team offers integrated clinical services and care coordination that help young people access what they need most—such as safe housing, health care, and educational resources—while supporting them to see themselves as worthy of care and respect, strengthen their sense of safety and autonomy, and develop the skills needed to advocate for themselves.
Outpatient Program
The Outpatient Program provides long-term individual and family psychotherapy, parent guidance, and clinical case management services. The program aims to help children develop adaptive coping mechanisms, positive relational skills, and to facilitate their healthy development. Outpatient Services are uniquely suited to meet the needs of vulnerable and high-risk children, adolescents and families – particularly those involved in the Alameda County foster care system. The team works on evidence-based treatment plans, psychosocial assessments, individual and family therapy, parent training and support, as well as case management.
