Maintenance Technician – 2nd ShiftLocation: Ontario, CA (on-site) Pay: $29–$35/hr DOE, plus $1/hr second-shift differential (non-exempt) Reports to: Maintenance ManagerOur client is an established personal care and consumer products manufacturer with 30+ years in business and about 400 employees across two plants. As the company grows, there is real room to advance.Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production and facility equipment on second shift. You'll work within established safety, predictive, and preventive maintenance processes, and your work directly supports production uptime and site goals.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and maintain production machines and plant facility equipmentHandle emergency and unscheduled repairs during production runs, and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service windowsTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustmentsPerform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilitiesRead and interpret equipment manuals and work ordersPerform basic machinist duties, plus general plumbing and carpentry tasksUse hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipmentIdentify faulty operations or defective materials and report issues to supervisionFollow all safety regulations and keep work areas clean and organizedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED4+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environmentAssociate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, a completed craft apprenticeship, or equivalent combined education and hands-on experienceStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsClear communicator who takes initiative and works well independently on shiftAvailable to work second shift, fully on-sitePhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentThis is a very active, hands-on role. It requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the shift. You must be able to lift and move items over 75 lbs. The work environment includes moving mechanical parts, vibration, airborne particles, and elevated noise levels.
