Occupational Health Nurse

Occupational Health Nurse (RN)Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse (RN) to support an Occupational Health Program in Greensboro, NC. Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire On-Call Requirement: Company phone provided; employee is expected to respond in the event of a site incident.Position Summary: This position is responsible for both the administrative and clinical aspects of the site's Occupational Health program. The Occupational Health Nurse will provide employee health services, emergency and general nursing care, health surveillance, Workers' Compensation case management, compliance support, wellness programming, and injury/illness case management.Key Responsibilities:Provide occupational health nursing, including fit-for-duty assessments, pre-placement screenings, drug/alcohol testing, and employee injury/illness care.Conduct or coordinate hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and other health surveillance programs.Manage Workers' Compensation cases, return-to-work activities, and workplace injury follow-up.Maintain accurate and confidential employee medical records.Develop and support employee wellness and occupational health programs.Coordinate First Responder training, including CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and AED.Work with physicians and outside providers regarding employee health, injury management, and occupational health programs.Requirements:Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license required.5+ years of nursing experience OR 3–5 years of Occupational Health Nursing experience.Occupational Health, ER, urgent care, industrial, or similar nursing experience preferred.Knowledge of OSHA requirements and Workers' Compensation practices.Audiometry and spirometry certifications preferred.COHN-S certification preferred.Ability to work independently and make autonomous nursing assessments.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Additional Expectations: This role requires regular interaction with employees throughout the facility and the ability to respond independently to occupational health concerns. A company phone will be provided, and the Occupational Health Nurse is expected to be reachable in the event of a site incident.
