Senior Technical Product Manager: Infrastructure and Platforms

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager: Infrastructure and Platforms based in United States.

This is a senior product leadership role focused on building internal infrastructure and developer platforms as products.
You will own the platform strategy, maturity model, intake, backlog, and multi-quarter roadmap across Infrastructure and Platform teams.
The role directly supports global-scale financial infrastructure spanning multiple markets, regions, and deployment environments.
You will help engineering teams adopt self-service golden paths for building, deploying, authenticating, observing, and scaling services.
A major focus will be improving CI/CD adoption, platform efficiency, cost attribution, and infrastructure portability.
Working closely with senior engineering leadership, you will turn complex technical dependencies into clear priorities and measurable outcomes.

Accountabilities

• Own infrastructure as a product, defining the platform maturity strategy, internal customer experience, backlog, intake process, and multi-quarter roadmap for foundational infrastructure.

• Establish and evolve self-service golden paths that allow engineers to build, deploy, authenticate, observe, and scale services without unnecessary operational dependencies.

• Create a clear delivery cadence by maintaining a prioritized roadmap, managing intake, and identifying infrastructure dependencies before they become blockers for product engineering teams.

• Drive platform maturity and reduce reliance on maintenance windows, runbooks, and change freezes, with a long-term focus on enabling reliable 24/7 deployment across global markets.

• Partner with Infrastructure Engineering and Finance to make infrastructure costs transparent through attribution, chargeback, efficiency initiatives, and meaningful cost KPIs.

• Increase adoption of CI/CD and developer-platform capabilities by partnering with DevOps and Platform teams to ensure golden paths are practical, discoverable, and widely used.

• Define how infrastructure should be centralized or packaged for deployment in new regions and markets, supporting global expansion without creating bespoke infrastructure projects.

• Partner directly with senior engineering leadership and collaborate across DevOps, Platform, Infrastructure, Finance, and product engineering teams to align priorities and execution.

• Use AI and automation to reduce operational and program-management overhead while improving delivery efficiency and platform adoption.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, TPM, or equivalent, with substantial experience owning infrastructure, platform, developer experience, or related technical products.

• Proven experience managing multi-team backlogs, intake processes, roadmaps, and planning cadences that drive real engineering execution.

• Strong technical fluency across compute infrastructure, CI/CD and deployment pipelines, databases, networking, observability, and infrastructure cost drivers.

• Ability to challenge technical proposals constructively and distinguish robust engineering solutions from approaches that lack sufficient technical depth, without necessarily writing production infrastructure code yourself.

• Demonstrated ability to influence adoption and drive outcomes across multiple engineering teams without relying on direct reporting relationships.

• Strong product ownership skills, including the ability to establish clear scope, ownership boundaries, priorities, and measurable outcomes.

• Experience working in regulated, market-hours-sensitive, or production-critical environments where deployment windows, change risk, reliability, and customer trust are important considerations.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate complex infrastructure topics into clear priorities and decisions.

• Experience using AI and automation to streamline workflows, reduce program-management overhead, and improve operational efficiency.

• Experience with platform maturity models, paved-path programs, internal developer platforms, or similar initiatives is highly valuable.

• Experience reducing maintenance windows or change-freeze practices in production environments is a plus.

• Exposure to multi-region or multi-entity infrastructure, including packaging platforms for deployment in new regions, is beneficial.

• Experience in capital markets, brokerage, fintech, or other infrastructure-intensive regulated environments is advantageous.
