Assistant Program Director - New Adult

The role includes supervision of staff and individuals, program development, and general maintenance and operations of a residence for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Hours: Monday to Friday 11:30 am – 8:00 pm on call; Tuesday to Saturday 11:30 am – 8:00 pm when not on call. Pay is $22.00 and up to $26.50 per hour based on experience and education. Flexible schedule, 40‑hour week. Sign‑on bonus up to $2,500 ; bonuses for part‑time positions prorated. Shift differentials: Second shift Monday–Friday $2.00 per hour; Third shift Monday–Friday $1.00; All Saturdays and Sundays $3.00 per hour; MAP Certification $0.48 per hour. Essential Functions of Position: Coordinate and supervise daily residential and program activities, including supervision of staff and maintenance of residence(s). Assess, teach and support individuals in daily living skills such as personal care, hygiene and safety rules. Promote a respectful and dignified living environment for all individuals. Organize and facilitate community integration opportunities in leisure and vocational areas. Maintain open communication with individuals and their families/guardians, service coordinators, various departments and external stakeholders. Maintain positive, professional relationships with neighbors, community members, involved family members, colleagues and funding sources. Coordinate and supervise community inclusion activities, banking and budget management, cooking, shopping, programming, day program or vocational attendance, and monitor effectiveness through data collection. Assist in development, coordination and implementation of individual service plan (ISP) goals, objectives and behavioral plans. Implement all behaviors, ISP objectives, activities of daily living and recreational activities. Administer medications as established by MAP certification. Accompany individuals to medical, dental and psychiatric appointments or leisure activities via agency vehicle or staff car. Ensure review of individuals' goals/objectives in treatment team meetings on a regular basis. Provide crisis assessment, prevention and needed intervention using Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) techniques. Provide on‑call coverage as scheduled and work various shifts. Identify need for and arrange additional support services. Provide specialized training and instruction to residential supporters, community supporters and other support staff. Ensure duties and responsibilities are carried out in a supportive and professional manner and attend appropriate meetings. Cooperate and participate in internal investigations. Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Crystal Springs, Inc. Program Management and Operations Responsibilities: Provide coverage of other adult residential programs as needed. Resolve problems, facilitate meetings and assign tasks. Facilitate agency's financial and budgetary procedures including petty cash, individual petty cash, bank accounts and payroll. Ensure compliance with Crystal Springs policies and procedures for both individuals and supporters. Develop and monitor a programmatic schedule. Ensure proper maintenance of the physical site, reporting necessary maintenance issues to the Maintenance Department in writing. Maintain accurate programmatic documentation such as fire drills, incident reports, daily logs, progress notes, behavior programs and any other required documentation. Assume responsibility for basic care of assigned program vehicle. Follow and implement all program safety/hygiene procedures.
