System Administrator

TEKsystems is seeking a System Administrator to support one of our partner companies in the finance industry. This position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii and 100% onsite. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining computer systems, servers, and networks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate would be someone who has experience in systems and servers with at least a basic understanding of networking and security. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and software applications Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights Perform system backups and data recovery Collaborate with IT team members to implement new technologies and systems Conduct regular system audits to identify potential vulnerabilities Provide technical support to end-users Skills & Qualifications Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) Proficiency with physical and virtual servers Understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles Experience with Active Directory and managing user accounts Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
