McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. (“McCarthy” or the “Company”) has engaged Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for a Corporate Counsel to be based in Dallas, Houston, or Austin, TX.Company: McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is the oldest privately-held national construction company in America. Their projects span sports stadiums, casinos, airport terminals, and hospitals, to cutting edge work in data centers and advanced water treatment. Repeatedly honored as a great place to work and healthiest employer, McCarthy is a 100 percent employee-owned company.Overview: McCarthy is seeking a strategic, business-minded Corporate Counsel to support its Southern Region. Based in Texas, this role reports to the Vice President, Legal and serves as a key advisor within a highly integrated legal team. The position offers the opportunity to partner closely with operations and leadership to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal guidance across construction, litigation, labor, and regulatory matters, while playing a meaningful role in shaping risk management and project execution strategies. Experience: The ideal candidate will bring significant legal experience with at least 5 years focused in construction law. Familiarity with design and construction agreements plus experience handling disputes, litigation management, and insurance-related matters is important. Ideal candidates will have in-house experience.
