The faculty member is expected to hold a Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA) position at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Department of Nuclear Medicine within the Division of Diagnostic Imaging. The faculty member is a clinician qualified to work in the field of Nuclear Medicine at a Professor level. The primary academic appointment will be in the Department of Nuclear Medicine. The Sections of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Clinical Nuclear Medicine (CNM) are administrative units that provide comprehensive, diagnostic and therapeutic services within the Department of Nuclear Medicine. Faculty within these Sections provide excellent, comprehensive and compassionate care for an oncologic patient population; nuclear imaging and therapeutic procedures in a cost effective environment; programs and projects conducted to advance fundamental or clinical understanding of oncology and nuclear medicine; education for medical students, residents, fellows, graduate students, and technologists; and multidisciplinary and collaborative approaches to patient-centered imaging, transformative research, prevention and exceptional education.
The members of the Department are appointed upon the recommendation of the Chair of the Department of Nuclear Medicine with concurrence of the Division Head of Diagnostic Imaging, and approval by the President of the Institution. This position is supervised by the Section Chief(s) for day-to-day clinical operations. The primary evaluator on an Annual Faculty Performance Appraisal is the Department Chair, reflecting faculty member's education, research, patient care, and administrative activities. These functional responsibilities require the mental ability to reason deductively; act decisively; communicate and execute the Institution's acceptable standards of conduct; interact with highly sophisticated technology; and understand complicated, comprehensive concepts, and technologies. This faculty position will provide onsite services, as assigned, in the Texas Medical Center (TMC) and Houston Area Locations (HALs).
Required qualifications: Medical Degree, Board Certification by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, Licensure by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, and BLS certification prior to employment. Not required but promise of ability to participate in collaborative research and in team science is desired.

Additional preferred qualifications: Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology, A record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications, ACLS certification preferred.

This position has a target base salary of $367,990 to $569,708 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
