Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Anesthesiology

As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in administering anesthesia and ensuring patient safety during surgical procedures. Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing various surgical procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with surgical teams to provide optimal patient care
• Evaluate patient medical histories and assess risk factors
• Provide preoperative and postoperative consultations
• Remain current with anesthesia techniques and protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the operating room

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Currently licensed to practice in the state of Missouri
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology
• Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia protocols and monitoring techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care

Schedule: 8, 10, and 24-hour shifts

Beeper/in-house call

Must be willing to work with residents

Patient Volume: 15 per day

4 endo/ERCP rooms

15 ORs

Off-site surgery center

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
