Psychiatrist El Dorado County Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF)
Location: Placerville
We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join the team at the Telecare El Dorado County Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF), a 16-bed locked inpatient hospital providing acute psychiatric care to adults (18+) with serious mental illness. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment delivering high-impact care to a vulnerable population.
Both Independent Contractor and W-2 Employee options are available, offering flexibility based on your preferences.
Position Highlights- Full-time schedule
- Adult inpatient psychiatric setting
- 16-bed PHF with strong interdisciplinary support
- 8-12 ppd
- Collaborative team including nursing, therapists, and case management
- Flexible engagement: 1099 or W-2 options available
- Competitive compensation
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
- Provide medication management and ongoing clinical care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Complete timely and accurate documentation
- Participate in treatment team meetings and care coordination
- MD or DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active or eligible for California medical license
- DEA license (active or eligible)
- Experience in inpatient or acute psychiatric settings preferred
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Full-time schedule
- Specific shift structure to be discussed based on availability and facility needs
