Job DescriptionWe are now hiring for the position of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant\n(COTA) within our skilled home care division.\n\nIn this part-time role, you will provide occupational therapy services to home care patients under the\nsupervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You will excel at developing and maintaining positive rapport\nwith clients and family members, and work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.\n\nOur Benefits\n\n Weekly pay\n Mileage reimbursement\n Tablet with built-in Wi-Fi provided\n Paid training\n Employee referral bonuses\n\n\nOur Culture\n\n Leadership is available to confer, consult and advise at any time\n Communication is clear, crisp, and consistent\n You are encouraged to speak professionally and freely\n Personal and professional balance is a top priority\n\n\nCertified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Responsibilities:\n\n Assists the occupational therapist in evaluations of the level of function of the patient\n Prepares clinical and progress notes\n Helps develop the plan of treatment\n Advises and consults with the family and other agency personnel\n Observes, records, and reports any changes in the patient’s condition\n Educates the patient/family and agency personnel in the use of the equipment and home therapy programs\n Assists with the rehabilitation of patients according to the plan of care\n Participates in case conferences and in-services\n Communicates effectively with all providing care\n Ensures quality care\n Confirms weekly the scheduling of visits with the occupational therapist to coordinate necessary visits\n with other personnel\n\n\nCertified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Qualifications:\n\n Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Michigan\n A minimum of one year in a home care setting preferred\n CPR certification\n Current Michigan driver's license\n Reliable transportation\n Proof of car insurance\n\n\n#Homecare\n\nInterim HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
