Director of Development

Director of Development Longy seeks an ambitious, charismatic, and creative Director of Development to lead all fundraising and engagement efforts. The Director will partner closely with executive and Board leadership to design and execute a comprehensive strategy that sustains Longy's ambitious mission and long-term growth. This leader will oversee all philanthropic activities, from annual giving to capital campaigns, while expanding the donor base and strengthening relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. The Director will also mentor and manage a small, dedicated team to foster a collaborative and goal-oriented culture that reflects Longy's values of equity, inclusion, and creativity. The ideal candidate will bring at least seven years of progressive experience in principal and major gifts, with a track record of success in securing transformative support and leading through innovation. While experience in higher education or the arts is advantageous, a deep belief in music's power to drive social change is essential.
