Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on Agency owned and leased facilities, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and repairs as necessary.
• Complete inspections of residential facilities with Facilities Manager.
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency/unscheduled tasks and follow safety protocol.
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on residential facilities.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual issues to the Facilities Manager.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Ensure minor repairs are done in a timely and frequently basis.
• Monitor contractors that work in Agency facilities.
• Grounds upkeep cleaning, removing trash, and performing basic landscaping or snow removal.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fully cooperates with the organization's compliance and quality improvement program.
• Performs additional related duties as assigned by their respective supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of maintenance and upkeep of equipment and facilities.
• Knowledge of mental health and concepts on mental health.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school Diploma.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in maintenance and repairs.
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Must be able to lift to 55 pounds and climb stairs.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
