It does not identify all tasks that may be expected, nor address the performance standards that must be maintained.Primary Function: Responsible for performing testing on specimens, maintaining instrumentation, documenting quality assurance and quality control, troubleshooting and resolving issues (instrument, procedural, specimen processing, patient and/or reference laboratory) and reporting resultsDuties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions):Process samples following written procedures and turn out results for the following benches: Urinalysis, Hematology, Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular, SerologyMonitor quality of and trouble-shoot potential problems with laboratory instrumentsPerform preventative maintenance on lab equipmentRun and evaluate quality control specimens on all assays and procedures as required. Troubleshoot and resolve issues. Report issues to management when necessaryRun and report proficiency testing specimens to meet the established due dateAssist in the evaluation of new assay proceduresConduct inventory of lab supplies, maintaining adequate inventory.
