Public Health Dietitian*

Job Overview Department of Public Health (DPH) is recruiting for Public Health Dietitians who plan, develop, implement, and evaluate community nutrition programs for targeted populations. Immediate vacancies exist within the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program. Responsibilities Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate community nutrition programs for targeted populations, including WIC program activities, to promote and improve health, wellness, and quality of life in San Bernardino County. Qualifications Must possess and maintain current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian. Applicants fluent in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, or Vietnamese are strongly encouraged to apply. Additional compensation may be associated with positions requiring the use of bilingual skills. Candidates fluent in Spanish with experience in a clinical/outpatient setting are highly desirable. Benefits & Bonuses Eligible employees hired into a regular classified position from this recruitment may receive up to $2,000 in total compensation (Recruitment Bonus). Referral Bonus available for employees who refer a successful applicant. Additional compensation may be associated with positions requiring bilingual skills. Conditions of Employment Travel: Employees may be required to travel throughout the County, including multiple offices within a specified region such as the High Desert, Low Desert, and surrounding San Bernardino areas. Pre‑Employment Process: Applicants must pass a background investigation, including verification of employment history and education, fingerprinting, physical exam, and drug screening. Hybrid Telework Program: After successful completion of a probationary period, employees may have the option to telework based on their assignment.
