TECHNICAL DESIGNER

A Technical Designer manages their product category from concept to production by establishing & maintaining consistent fit standards, manufacturing methods, grading & pattern blocks between multiple factories. They are also responsible for managing workflow to meet seasonal calendars by working closely with cross functional partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Overall execution of fit, grading & construction while maintaining optimum quality from initial prototype development through production approval Creates & provides pattern and/or pattern direction throughout development Creates & maintains company block patterns Collaborates with Design, Product Management & Vendors to develop products that meet target cost & brand standards Prepares prototypes & leads fit sessions on live models with Design & Product Management to arrive at a cohesive, executable direction Develops and routes technical packages including graded specifications, construction details & requested fit corrections for accurate costing & prototyping Takes initiative to continually improve quality of fit / construction Other duties as assigned Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance. Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management. Adhere to all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices. Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management. Qualifications Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills. Degree or diploma in Technical Design, Design or Product Development Minimum of 5 years' experience within a Technical Design team Able to communicate 3-D fit corrections into a 2-D pattern - digital pattern proficiency is a plus Thorough understanding of product engineering and manufacturing processes Experience working on-site with factory / sample room is a plus Strong working ability of Excel, Illustrator & Microsoft Suite Competencies Customer Centric/Sales Driven - Assesses customer experience within the store and promotes a culture of customer engagement. Is attentive to customers and understands their needs, offers products that are aligned with the consumers' expectations. Continually searches for ways to improve customer service. PAY RANGE: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00*
