Medical Science Liaison - Cardiovascular (Houston, South Texas & Louisiana)

Position: Medical Science Liaison, Cardiovascular (Houston, South Texas & Louisiana) Responsibilities Identify disease and product-related medical needs in a defined geography; serve as a medical resource for external stakeholders. Develop and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders (TLs) and Healthcare Providers (HCPs) to drive meaningful scientific exchange. Answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR-related questions via 1:1, group presentations, remote, etc. Use scientific resources to present accurate information and respond to questions per ethical/legal guidelines. Assess the medical landscape; continuously update knowledge (treatment strategies, products, unmet needs, clinical trials, HEOR). Partner with HCPs on disease-state initiatives, collaborative research, and investigator-sponsored research (ISR) aligned with BMS objectives. Attend medical congresses/meetings; collect and communicate medical insights to support strategy and business decisions. Develop geography-specific field/TL interaction plans; contribute to institution/account planning and local medical programs. Establish customer‑centric, compliant collaboration with cross‑matrix field teams; support medical/product training and internal scientific updates. Provide scientific support at promotional meetings; evaluate speakers/support contracted speakers (if applicable). Support clinical trial activities: identify potential study sites; recommend feasibility; support ISR submission/execution; ensure pharmacovigilance procedures and escalated adverse events; support CRO‑sponsored studies. Required Experience/Qualifications MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, or NP with experience in a disease area or broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience. Ability to drive a company‑provided car (safe, ethical driving history) and travel within the territory. Knowledge / Skills Desired Disease area and scientific publication understanding; clinical trial design/process knowledge. Knowledge of competitive landscape, patient treatment trends, national healthcare/access environment, and HEOR concepts. Excellent English (spoken/written); strong communication and presentation skills. Experience Desired Minimum 2 years in clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment; prior MSL experience preferred. Ability to work independently, translate data for physicians, build peer-to-peer relationships, and quickly learn new subject areas. Travel Requirement Field‑based; live in the territory or within 50 miles of territory borders; majority of time in the field.
