Senior Maintenance Technician

$30-$34/hour

Roxbury MA

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining affordable housing communities throughout the Roxbury and Greater Boston area. No two days are exactly alike, and your expertise will help keep our communities operating at their best.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to resident service requests with professionalism and urgency
• Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, drywall, and general maintenance issues
• Performing preventative maintenance and community inspections
• Preparing apartment homes for new residents through quality unit turns
• Maintaining building systems, common areas, and grounds
• Identifying and resolving safety concerns before they become larger issues
• Working collaboratively with site teams to ensure community standards are consistently met
• Participating in emergency maintenance coverage and on-call responsibilities as needed
• Following Fair Housing guidelines and company policies at all times

Required Qualifications

• Previous multifamily apartment maintenance experience
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Personal maintenance tools required
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across multiple trades
• Professional appearance and communication skills
• Dependable, self-motivated, and accountable
• Solid understanding of Fair Housing practices
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Certification
• HVAC Certification
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification
• Experience with RealPage and/or OneSite
• Additional industry certifications
