Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: Remote, EST Hours Duration: 12 Months Contract to Hire Key Focus: Want someone with Healthcare exp such as electronic visit verification software, Medicaid preferred. Tableau is a requirement – PowerBI is a plus This person can be located anywhere east of the Mississippi. We have projects the person would support in Delaware and South Carolina, but other locations are acceptable also.

In this role, you can expect to support the development, delivery, and implementation of our AuthentiCare product. AuthentiCare is our Electronic Visit Verification solution that helps states reduce costs, minimize fraud, and maximize responsiveness to their Medicaid members, while improving the overall efficiency of their home and community-based services. You will provide software quality assurance services throughout the full System Development Life Cycle, with a key focus being on the development of performance metrics and the associated development of reports utilizing Tableau.

You will enjoy the opportunity to travel on occasion to client sites to support kick-off and implementation activities. Specific responsibilities may also include:

• Testing – to include manual and automated test script creation and testing and create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities
• Eliciting, organizing, analyzing, simplifying, translating, managing and communicating technical requirements, including traceability
• Performing and documenting risk analysis
• Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Track quality assurance metrics
• Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs
• Defect tracking and resolution, including statistical output of progress
• Delivering elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverable

Requirements:

• Over 4 years of experience in software development and software quality assurance supporting large-scale information technology system development, implementation and operations to include using requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, manage project scope, acceptance, installation and deployment and the development of reports and dashboards
• Functional understanding of, and experience in, the full System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) phases
• Ability to make complex decisions and recommendations under limited direction and using high degree of initiative and independent judgment
• Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to clearly define projects, objectives, goals, schedules and assignments and interface regularly with the customer via video and conference calls, emails, and, when necessary and allowable – in person meetings
• Assuming responsibility for project tasks and ensuring they are completed in a timely fashion
• Evaluating, testing and recommending new opportunities for enhancing software, hardware and IT processes
• Capability and willingness to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, shifts in direction and priorities, both from a client and internal perspective

Highly Preferred:

• Automated test script creation and testing experience
• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Transaction knowledge and experience
• Technical requirement gathering experience
• qTest and Tosca experience (Both of these are Tricentis tools typically used in conjunction with JIRA.)
• Medicaid / healthcare knowledge
• Familiarity with Home-Based Community Services / Electronic Visit Verification
• Relevant software development and software quality assurance certification(s)
• Strong written and oral communication skills – this role will have extensive client interaction involving many video and conference calls and needs to be able to engage appropriately in that context
• Experience with Tableau a must; experience with power BI is a huge plus
• 4-year degree (preferred) – even better if computer science related
