Protean Med is recruiting a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for an immediate, ongoing locum need at a Cancer Institute in Mechanicsville, Virginia. This is a rare Hem/Onc locum opportunity where you can walk in fast, practice independently, and make a direct impact on a patient population that needs you.

The Role Mechanicsville, VA (near Richmond) Start: ASAP ongoing Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient 225-bed hospital EMR: Epic Providers: 1 physician practice No APP support

Schedule Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM No weekends. No call. No exceptions.

Practice Details

• 70% Oncology 30% Hematology No IM
• Outpatient clinic: patients per day
• Inpatient rounding: 2 8 patients per day
• Adult and Geriatric patient population
• Trauma Level III facility
• Full travel reimbursement provided

• Temporary privileges: 3 14 days once application is submitted

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified in Medical Oncology (required)
• Board Certified in Hematology (highly preferred)
• Active Virginia state license
• Virginia DEA
• BLS certification
• COI coverage $2.6M/$7.8M (per VA statute, if requested)
• Clean malpractice history
