Valet Driver - Cleveland Clinic/$15 P/H - Daily Cash Tips

Summary The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. The role includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, as well as assisting guests with luggage delivery and pick‑up during arrival and departure. Essential Functions Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet, using the guests’ last names during interactions. Uses proper Towne Park phone etiquette, welcomes guests with a salutation of the day, and maintains a clean and organized work area when not completing tasks. Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously, assists with bell services and luggage storage as needed, and opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests. Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about facility amenities and local attractions; delivers messages, items, and guest amenities as requested; and shuttles guests to approved locations. Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival, issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys, collects claim checks from all guests before issuing keys, and completes and maintains all ticket information—including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt—in the valet system. Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when required. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Licensure: Valid driver’s license for the state in which the position is located. Experience: One month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Skills: Ability to read and write standard English, comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence, write simple correspondence, present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations, perform basic arithmetic with U.S. currency, understand 24‑hour and military time systems, understand applicable rates, operate a manual transmission, and perform parallel parking. Compensation Hourly base pay range: $15–$17 per hour plus daily cash tips. Work Schedule Flexible scheduling available for all shifts. Work Conditions & Physical Demands The associate regularly talks or hears, sits or stands for extended periods, runs, walks, handles objects, and may need to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The job requires lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, or up to 20 pounds constantly. Work is primarily outdoors and may involve extreme heat or cold weather; protection from temperature changes may be provided.
