Job Overview:

Join our vibrant café team as a Barista & Lounge Attendant where your passion for coffee and exceptional customer service will create memorable experiences for every guest. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, friendly environment while sharing your love for coffee and community. This person will be required to work 26-32 hours as it is part time work.

Responsibilities:

Lounge Attendant

• Working the AM shift and serving breakfast buffet style in the members only lounge.
• Keeping items stocked for the next shift to use and yourself the next day. Such as soda, water, juice, Dishes & Silverware
• Required time to Work are 6am -12pm, 6-hour shifts in lounge.

Barista

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with integrity and accuracy
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
• Assist in food handling and preparation, ensuring quality and presentation meet company standards
• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries or concerns effectively
• Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining quality standards
• Required time to Work are 6am -12pm, 6 hour shifts in Coffee Shop.

Qualifications:

• Prior barista experience or background in the food industry is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time well
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
• Experience in serving or café environments is a plus but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate
