As a Surgical Scheduler (MOA) for Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, you'll:

• Provide excellent customer service to our patients at JHCP.
• Be responsible for coordinating and scheduling all cardiothorasic and vascular surgeries
  • Coordinate all aspects of surgical appointments (Receive and post surgical posting sheets, resolve any insurance or authorization issues, coordinate with pre-surgical testing, etc.)
• Be the liason between patient, surgeon, insurance companies, and external stakeholders.
• Assist with front desk operations as necessary
  • Receive incoming and make outbound telephone calls to schedule appointments, process patient medication refills, process referrals, and take messages for the providers.
  • Check patients in and out, collect copays, and respond to patient messages.
  • Verify insurance and collect demographics.

What You'll Need to be Successful:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
  • EPIC experience is very helpful!
• Experience with medical terminology and health insurance highly preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.65/hour - Maximum 28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
