Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP) Registered Nurse (RN)

The Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP) Registered Nurse (RN) duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assessment of mental health behaviors with appropriate interventions as ordered by providers.
• Obtain baseline vital signs, weight, height, and complete documentation in computerized patient record system (CPRS).
• Complete the admissions and discharge process along with the admissions team.
• Successfully utilizes the breathalyzer, knowledge of cleaning the device, and appropriately document findings in patient medical record per policy.
• Completes mandatory and annual competencies for equipment and procedures, adhere to unit-based protocols, maintain a current BLS certification, and work collaboratively with other disciplines in the Medical Center.
• Participates in in-services and performance improvement activities and customer services programs at unit and service line levels.
• Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components.
• Considers all characteristics of the individual, including age and life stages, state of health, race and culture, values, and previous experiences.
• Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
• Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Exhibits core elements of performance to include knowledge of unit/program level quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programs.
• May be required to transport and care for patients off site of the main campus location.

Preferred Experience:

• Mental Health Nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to apply clinical judgement and knowledge in planning, decision making and evaluating outcomes within the immediate practice setting.
• Ability to work well in a team setting and able to multi-task.

Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
