Job Summary:
The OR (Operating Room) Registered Nurse position is located in Grand Island, Nebraska. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within a busy surgical department. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Grand Island, Nebraska
• Schedule: Days, with shifts from 0630-1500, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, driver's license required at submittal, and candidates must be well versed on all surgical procedures due to the department's team structure.
• Experience or 'Must Have' Skills: Well-versed on all surgical procedures, flexibility to varied daily surgical schedule, strong teamwork, willingness to share experiences and educate others.
• Additional Information: This department includes a busy OR with 7 ORs and 2 Endo suites, handling a variety of cases including adult, geriatric, pediatric, obstetric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, gynecologic, general surgery, and Da Vinci robotic procedures. Staff will complete 1 week of department-specific orientation. RTO must be requested upfront (7 days or less per 13-week contract); additional RTO will not be approved. The department emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a strong sense of camaraderie.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, including pre/post-op, PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) if trained, and ER for trauma cases.
