Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate pediatric patients with orthopedic or neurological conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and strength
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to provide comprehensive care
- Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and home care
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with regulations
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of each child
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Physical Therapist license or eligibility
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Previous experience in pediatric physical therapy is a plus
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic interventions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability
