Responsibilities

• Build electro-mechanical cable connectors and assemblies per blueprints, schematics, and company standards.
• Work independently on sub-assemblies or collaborate with team members on vehicle integrations and installs.
• Provide technical support to engineers and scientists on moderately complex components, devices, material, products, processes, and equipment.
• Test, modify, rework, and repair electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies.
• Design and test prototype assemblies and production units.
• Work from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, and sketches.
• Use judgment in re-working or re-wiring to meet quality control specifications.
• Test, inspect, and repair electronic, optical, or mechanical assemblies.
• Work under minimal supervision and provide guidance to other technicians.
• Perform related manufacturing processes.
• Interpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rules.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Interface with other departments to ensure efficient flow of information and materials.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
• Experience handling small delicate components using ESD practices.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Experience in safe handling of chemicals.
• Ability to walk, sit, stand, stoop, climb, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to lift heavy materials.
• Ability to access and work within restricted spaces in and around vehicles.
• Experienced in using various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and LabVIEW.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bridgeton, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.75 - $24.75/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
