Job Details Position Type: Sport/Activity Coaching/ Wrestling Date Posted: 6/24/2026 Location: Dundee-Crown High School Closing Date: 07/08/2026 2026 - 2027 School Year Position Description Head Girls Wrestling Coach for the 2026-2027 school year with a strong knowledge of Wrestling and a focus on student‑athletic achievement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to working directly with coaching staff to develop practice and game plans, monitoring, teaching, instructing and motivating players, studying and breaking down game film, keeping detailed records of practice, progress and results. Must be able to coach at all levels within the program, be organized, flexible, take direction from the head coach and/or direct supervisor, and communicate with parents and the Booster Club. Performance Responsibilities / Requirements / Qualifications High school coaching experience is required. Must be able to oversee all levels within the program and coach various areas within the program. Organized, flexible, able to take direction from the head coach and/or direct supervisor, and work with parents and the Booster Club. Enhance, improve, and maximize students’ athletic skills required to compete at a high level. In the off‑season, make time for strength and speed training. Assist in fundraising, organization, and other tasks as directed by the head coach in order to maintain accurate records of equipment. Organize and oversee specific program levels or areas of responsibility. Communicate with the Assistant Coaches and/or Athletic Director to secure facilities to ensure a safe practice/competition environment for students. Support the philosophy, programmatic instruction of sequential fundamentals, and proper conditioning communicated by the head coach. Plan with the assistant coaches practice sessions and competition strategies to ensure the health and physical well‑being of the student participants. Coordinate with the assistant coaches and Athletic Director all in‑season practices. Ensure all student participants at program levels are in compliance with D300 and IHSA requirements including current athletic physical, Code of Conduct, fees paid, and academic eligibility prior to practice, tryout, and competition. Model and instill the values of sportsmanship and fair play to all participants, and enforce consequences for breach of such standards. Attend all student‑athlete practices, games, and monitor proper supervision at all practices, games, and on school‑provided transportation. Maintain and provide the assistant coach with end‑of‑season individual and team records and statistics. Participate in a mandatory preseason parent meeting. Assist the head coach in planning for the seasonal recognition program. Assist in the orderly distribution and collection of uniforms and equipment.
