We build modern, sustainable single-family and multifamily homes from the ground up, from raw land to a turnkey product for both homeowners and investors. Who You Are You have strong hands-on residential construction experience and understand how jobs truly flow on-site. You've managed multiple projects at once and are comfortable juggling trades, inspectors, and schedules. You're just as comfortable reading plans as you are walking a site with a framer, plumber, or inspector. You're proactive, organized, and driven to hit timelines and budgets. You communicate clearly with crews, vendors, inspectors, and clients. You're hungry to grow, you see performance bonuses as an opportunity, not a ceiling. You prefer being in the field over sitting behind a desk all day. We are a small, high-growth team managing multiple active projects at any given time. This is not an office or engineering role; this is a hands‑on superintendent position overseeing multiple active sites in the field. Key Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day field operations across multiple residential projects (single‑family, townhomes, small multifamily). Manage sequencing across all trades: site work, framing, MEP, exterior, interior finishes, and closeout. Coordinate and pass City of Houston inspections; ensure all work meets code and New Gen standards. Read and interpret plans, details, and specs; clarify scope with the Construction Project Manager as needed. Run schedules: create and update look‑ahead plans, push work forward, and remove roadblocks for trades. Maintain clean, safe, well‑organized jobsites that reflect well on the company. Communicate daily with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal team members. Solve onsite issues quickly and creatively while protecting quality and budget. Track progress and document: photos, notes, punch lists, and status updates. Represent New Gen Builders professionally with neighbors, clients, investors, and city officials. Qualifications 5 or more years of hands‑on experience in residential construction (superintendent, foreman, or similar). Strong understanding of ground‑up residential sequencing and best practices. Proven experience managing multiple projects at once, not just a single site. Ability to read plans and run quality control in the field. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred (many trades speak Spanish). Highly organized, reliable, and decisive; able to drive projects forward independently. Must be on‑site in Houston; this is not a remote role. Experience with City of Houston inspections is a plus. Experience with JobTread or similar project platforms is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Full‑time, W‑2 Employee.
