Business Architect

In this position... Ford Motor Company is seeking a strategic and highly collaborative Business Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. This role is specifically designed to bridge the gap between complex technical solutions (SAPS/4HANA, Legacy Systems) and business value streams (Finance, Purchasing, …). The successful candidate will serve as a primary liaison, ensuring that architecture is not only technically sound but also effectively communicated and governed based on enterprise standards. You will focus on driving consistency, transparency, and alignment through communication and collaboration with business and IT stakeholders. Based in Dearborn, MI, this is a hybrid position with a required four‑day onsite presence each week. You’ll have… Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. 3+ years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 1 year specifically in a Business Architecture or Business Analyst role. 2+ years of Communication Mastery: Proven track record of presenting Information Technology concepts to business stakeholders and technical teams. 1+ year Process Modeling : Demonstrated experience in strategy planning, requirements management, and conceptual business modeling (Current vs. Future State). Even better, you may have… Master’s Degree Hands‑on experience with enterprise architecture tools (., YouDesign, Miro, Signavio, LeanIX, Microsoft Visio). Experience with large‑scale ERP transformations, specifically involving SAPS/4HANA. Deep understanding of industry‑standard frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, BPMN, or APQC. Familiarity with Ford‑specific value streams, particularly in Finance (Plan to Report), Purchasing or Parts Supply & Logistics.
