As an independent contractor with The Faculty, you'll have the freedom to pick up classes when it suits you — teaching both children and adults using ready-made lesson materials.
Contract And Flexibility
- 100% independent contractor role (remote)
- Flexible scheduling with two-week advance notice
- Classes available across different shifts to match your availability
What You'll Do
- Teach engaging online English lessons to learners worldwide (kids & adults)
- Use provided lesson materials — no prep required
- Create a supportive, interactive classroom environment
- Provide constructive feedback to help learners progress
Requirements
- Matric certificate (degree is a plus)
- 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate
- Strong spoken and written English (neutral accent)
- Confidence using Zoom and basic tech tools
- Clear communication and online classroom presence
Tech Setup
- Laptop/PC: Ryzen 5, Intel® Core™ i5, Apple M1 or higher, 8GB RAM
- Fibre internet: 25 Mbps minimum (LAN cable only)
- UPS backup: 4–5 hours + mini-UPS for router
- Noise-cancelling headset, HD webcam, quiet workspace
