Skilled - Lead CNC Lathe Machinist

Lead CNC Lathe MachinistWe are seeking an experienced Haas CNC Lathe Operator for a potential-to-hire opportunity in Cypress, TX. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Haas CNC lathes while producing high-quality components to precise specifications. Candidates with experience machining fiberglass composite materials are highly preferred. This is a great opportunity to join a growing manufacturing team that values quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Lead CNC Lathe Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Set up and operate Haas CNC lathes according to engineering drawings and specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructionsSelect tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets required for production runsMachine fiberglass composite materials and other production components to required tolerancesLoad and unload raw materials and finished products safelyInspect parts using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring toolsPerform in-process and final quality inspections to verify product accuracyTroubleshoot minor machine, tooling, and production issuesPerform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping dutiesRecord production data, inspections, and process adjustments accuratelyWork closely with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processesFollow all safety procedures and PPE requirements when operating equipment and handling materialsLead CNC Lathe Machinist Requirements:Minimum 3 years of Haas CNC lathe operation and setup experience preferredExperience machining fiberglass composite materials strongly preferredStrong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and machine setupAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsExperience using precision measuring tools and inspecting parts to tight tolerancesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and within a team environmentForklift experience or certification is a plusAbility to stand for the duration of the shift except during scheduled breaksAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularlyCommitment to workplace safety and quality standardsIND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
