Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

Philadelphia, PA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (1900–0730) | 3×12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care across multiple inpatient units including Cardiac Telemetry, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, and Surgical Telemetry, floating as needed throughout supported units
• Manage a diverse adult and geriatric patient population with acute and chronic conditions such as pneumonia, stroke, sepsis, and congestive heart failure
• Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and administer blood and blood products
• Manage complex equipment and interventions including CPAP/BiPAP, tracheostomy care, PICC and central lines, PCA pumps, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and wound vac therapy
• Administer and titrate IV medications and drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem (Diltiazem), Milrinone, Nitroglycerin, and Heparin
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and ancillary staff, including CNAs, to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes at nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, 1:5, or 1:6 depending on acuity

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for post-operative patients including bariatric surgery and Aquablation procedure patients
• Background in orthopedic patient care and management of patients with complex comorbidities
• Demonstrated adaptability and strong clinical judgment in a float pool or multi-unit environment
