Machine Repair TechnicianThis role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting heavy stamping presses and supporting welding and robotic equipment. You will work primarily in the stamping area, performing mechanical, hydraulic, and welding repairs, and supporting automation systems to keep production running safely and efficiently.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical repair and maintenance on transfer and progressive stamping presses ranging from 400 to 2,000 tons, including Danley and Ravne brandsDiagnose and repair brakes, clutches, gears, and bearings on stamping presses and related equipmentUse a 40-foot man lift to access and perform brake and clutch adjustments at the top of the presses, following all safety proceduresConduct hydraulic system repairs, including replacement of hydraulic motors, pumps, and hosesPerform MIG and stick welding to repair and maintain equipment and components in the stamping areaCollaborate with weld technicians who handle most robot-related issues, and support heavier-duty mechanical and hydraulic repairs when machine repair is called inEssential SkillsStrong mechanical repair and maintenance skills, specifically on heavy industrial equipment such as stamping pressesProven experience replacing brakes, clutches, gears, and bearings on large mechanical systemsHands-on experience working with hydraulic systems, including hydraulic motors, pumps, and hosesAbility to perform MIG and stick welding for equipment repair and fabricationComfort and competence using a 40-foot man lift to perform adjustments and repairs at heightAbility to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic issues in a fast-paced production environmentJob Type & LocationThis is a permanent position based out of Royal Oak, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.05 - $34.05/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
