This role is part of team developing our next-generation proprietary semiconductor capital equipment used in inspection and metrology for advanced packaging applications, including AI and other emerging technologies.Specialized ExpertiseThis position requires deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the following areas:Motion control systems for precision equipmentVision and image processing for sub-micron defect detectionKey ResponsibilitiesTranslate customer and product requirements into functional specificationsDesign and implement algorithms for defect detection and metrologyIntegrate 2D and 3D sensors into inspection systemsOptimize image acquisition and processing performanceConduct design verification and system-level integration testingPresent technical solutions to application and product management teamsSupport beta installations and evaluations at customer sitesTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to Firefly G3/G5 systemsQualificationsQualifications5 years of C++/C# software development experienceExperience in optical systems, image acquisition, processingExperience in controlling mechanical and electrical systemsExperience in semiconductor capital equipment development desiredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalentWillingness to travel internationally up to 20%Why Join Onto Innovation?At Onto Innovation, we believe your work should matter—and so should your well-being.
