About Us Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) provides transportation services including FTL, LTL, brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs. We connect Maersk or Customer warehouses, depots, cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a network led by operations and technology to service multi-channel customers. Position Last Mile Site Leader – Peoria, IL. Weekend availability is required. Responsibilities Coordinate flow for communication between Haulers/Delivery Teams/Flatbed Drivers, Call Center, and Local Client Management Teams. Provide on-site presence on daily, weekly, or bi-weekly basis to ensure Haulers/Delivery Teams follow procedures. Oversee recruiting, processing, and performance of Haulers. Develop and maintain relations with vendors. Ensure follow up on shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and in-home damage claims. Interface with end customers to ensure effective in-home delivery for customers. Maintain monthly operation reports that include statistics and customer service scores. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Skills Strong written and verbal communications skills. Excellent mathematical skills with ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to analyze technical information as it pertains to the business and market. Strong problem solving and reasoning abilities with the capacity to develop creative solutions.
