Position Overview Tip of The Spear Behavioral Counseling Center is actively searching for a full-time, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist to expand our team of dedicated professionals. This role is designed for an empathetic and skilled therapist who is eager to make a significant difference in the lives of individuals dealing with mood disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. Work Environment This position is remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining a strong connection with our supportive team. Your interactions will take place primarily through telehealth platforms as well as in our outpatient office when necessary. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to accurately evaluate the severity and impact of clients' mood disorder symptoms. Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans that align with their personal goals and preferences, ensuring individualized care. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to guide client progress. Provide psychoeducation and support to clients and their families, fostering a deeper understanding of mood disorders and empowering them with knowledge about effective self-care strategies. Regularly monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes. Build and maintain professional relationships with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care for clients. Stay informed of the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatments to incorporate innovative methods into your practice. Maintain confidential and detailed records of sessions, assessments, and treatment plans, upholding all legal and ethical standards. Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training to continually develop your clinical skills. Serve as an advocate for clients, working to destigmatize mood disorders and actively promote mental health awareness within the community. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse population of clients experiencing mood disorders. Your work will focus on understanding their unique challenges and applying tailored therapeutic strategies that address their mental health needs. Given the sensitive nature of this field, a compassionate and patient-centered approach is essential. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. Current in-state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or psychologist. Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT. Strong understanding of psychopharmacology, enabling effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals. Demonstrated success in treating mood disorders with a solid track record of client outcomes. Exceptional communication skills and the capacity to engage with clients from various backgrounds effectively. Preferred Experience Experience working in an outpatient mental health setting, ideally focused on mood disorders. Familiarity with telehealth services and the tools used in delivering remote therapy. Published or presented research on mood disorders is a plus.
