Parole Agent I, Adult Parole Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation – Division of Adult Parole Operations, Northern Region Salary: $7,278 – $11,101 per month Job type: Permanent, Full‑time; Telework: In Office Responsibilities Upon completion of the Basic Parole Agent Academy, the incumbent will work under the supervision of a Parole Agent II or Parole Agent III. Key responsibilities include: Supervision and casework services for parolees assigned to a field unit Monitor parolees' behavior and investigate potential violations Apprehend or arrest parolees when required Coordinate with local resources to provide programming that supports community reintegration Engage with parolees' families and social networks to address dysfunctional patterns and promote healthy functioning Work irregular shifts as required Qualifications Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the Parole Agent I, Adult Parole classification, which include: Completion of the Basic Parole Agent Academy Background investigation clearance Medical clearance and a psychological evaluation Live Scan fingerprinting and tuberculosis testing Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and DAPO supervision tools (Virtual Integrated Mobile Office, Strategic Offender Management System, Parole Violation Disposition Tracking System, Electronic Monitoring System) Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team Special Requirements Background investigation clearance prior to hire Medical clearance and psychological evaluation clearance Live Scan fingerprinting and tuberculosis testing; annual follow‑up Computerized Voice Stress Analyzer clearance Equal Opportunity Employer California is an equal‑opportunity employer.
