Job Title: Production Helper ($26/hour)

Job Description

As a Production Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our CNC machinists and facilities team by transporting materials and supplies efficiently across the shop floor. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness in the facility, assisting with basic shop duties, and performing light mechanical tasks. You will also be trained to operate a forklift to move raw materials as needed. This is a labor intensive role due to the size of the machinery.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials and supplies to CNC machinists and the facilities team.
• Clean large machines and maintain the cleanliness of the shop floor by sweeping and mopping.
• Assist with moving parts between work areas and perform general labor tasks.
• Operate a forklift to move raw materials (training provided if needed).
• Help with basic machine upkeep, including checking coolant levels and cleaning around machines.
• Support occasional light mechanical tasks as directed.
• Follow safety and cleanliness standards to maintain an organized work environment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in shop helping or production assistance.
• Comfortable working in a machine shop environment.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning large machinery.
• Experience in fabrication, production, or mechanical tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Past experience using a forklift is a plus.
• Motivated and able to operate at a quick pace.

Work Environment

This position is based in an aerospace manufacturing environment, working the 2nd shift. You will be part of a team that values safety, efficiency, and cleanliness.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, CA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.
