Infectious Disease Hospitalist – Per Diem (Weekend Pager Call).

Location: Yonkers, NY (weekend coverage is remote, onsite when needed).
Position Type: Per Diem.
Setting: Per Diem and Weekend Pager Call, Hospital-Based Infectious Disease Coverage.
Employer: Symphony Medical, PC.

Overview:
Symphony Medical, PC is seeking a Per Diem Infectious Disease Hospitalist to provide weekday and weekend virtual pager call coverage. This flexible opportunity is ideal for an ID physician looking to supplement their schedule with weekday and weekend telemedicine work while maintaining full malpractice protection and a manageable, predictable commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide peer-to-peer consultations for new Infectious Disease cases.
• Conduct follow-ups on active census patients per sign-out.
• Document all phone and virtual encounters in Meditech.
  

Schedule:

• Weekend virtual coverage (onsite when needed): Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM ($1200/wknd).
• Per Diem as needed for weekday coverage.
  

Qualifications:

• MD/DO; Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Infectious Diseases.
• Active, unrestricted medical license required.
• Comfortable working in a virtual/telemedicine environment.
• Commutable when needed.
• Experience with Meditech EHR preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills for remote consultations.
  

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation: $1,200 per weekend shift.
• $150-$170/hr. for weekday per diem.
• Full malpractice coverage provided.
