Career growth and development Tuition Assistance Diverse and collaborative working environment Affordable and comprehensive benefits package Full Time/Evening Shift/ 1:30pm-10pm/ every other weekend rotations and holiday rotations/Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, MD General Summary Performs various specimen collection and phlebotomy techniques in the collection of specimens for inpatients and/or outpatients. May perform laboratory tests/waived laboratory tests including but not limited to Ocult and Gastric Blood tests, Urine pH and Urine Volume. May operate and maintain automated pre-analytical instrumentation or Cobas automated storage and retrieval system. May perform data entry, processing of specimens; billing functions, and all patient registration and preanalytic setups. Ensures accuracy of all data entry and processed specimens. Serves as a mentor, and work in support of associated departmental initiatives, projects, and training. Demonstrates excellent customer service and safe & compassionate patient care at all times. Blood drawing, receiving and processing of Laboratory & Referral specimens for testing. May perform other related activities to the operation of the Laboratory. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years relevant clinical phlebotomy experience in a Laboratory setting is required High School diploma or general education degree (GED) ASCP-PBT, or equivalent from a department approved certifying agency Important Notices Authorization to Work in the United States:Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position. Salary Range Minimum 19.85/hour - Maximum 32.76/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
