Procurement Specialist I

Job Title: Procurement Specialist I Location: Melbourne, FL (On-Site) Employment Type: Contract (6 months) About the Opportunity In this role, you'll play a key part in managing procurement activities for indirect goods and services, researching suppliers and executing purchasing strategies that support business needs. You'll develop and implement efficient, cost-effective purchasing processes while ensuring all purchases meet specifications, requirements, and company policies and procedures. What You'll Do Support data-driven procurement decisions through goal setting, performance management, analytics, and actionable recommendations. Execute procure-to-pay (P2P) purchasing activities and support the development and administration of agreements and Statements of Work (SOWs) in partnership with business and legal teams. Conduct spend analysis, market research, benchmarking, and financial analysis using TCO and NPV concepts to identify cost‑saving opportunities and develop compelling business cases. Build and manage trusted relationships with suppliers, business partners, and internal stakeholders, including supporting commercial negotiations, delivery performance, Quarterly Business Reviews, and supplier assessments. Identify and implement process improvements while supporting special projects, large RFPs, and cross‑functional initiatives that enhance procurement effectiveness. Maintain accurate contract databases, special terms documentation, and procurement records while ensuring compliance with U.S. Procurement Policies and Guidelines. Share procurement knowledge and best practices by collaborating across teams, optimizing workflows, and supporting the training and onboarding of new employees. Job Requirements What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in finance, operations/supply management or related 1-3 years of experience in Procurement 1+ years' experience in preparation of RFQ/RFPs, negotiation, follow‑up and control of commercial proposals.
