We are seeking a skilled Powder Coating Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for applying durable, high-quality finishes to fabricated metal components, ensuring products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal parts for coating through cleaning, masking, hanging, and staging.

• Apply powder coatings using manual and automated spray equipment.

• Monitor coating thickness, coverage, color consistency, and overall finish quality.

• Conduct visual inspections and perform touch-ups or rework as needed.

• Operate within production schedules to meet daily output goals.

• Maintain powder coating equipment and ensure proper material usage.

• Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards throughout the facility.

• Assist with material handling and movement of products through the finishing process.

Essential Skills

• Experience in powder coating, industrial painting, metal finishing, or related manufacturing.

• Ability to operate spray equipment and work with coating applications.

• Competence in reading and interpreting work orders, production instructions, and quality specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and focus on producing high-quality finished products.

• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing or production environments.

• Understanding of workplace safety practices and proper use of PPE.

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in powder coating or related fields preferred.

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the shift.

• Capability to work independently or as part of a team.

The position is based in a manufacturing facility located in Fairfield, CA. The work environment is designed to ensure safety, comfort, and efficiency for all team members.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
