We are looking for a Paralegal to support a busy legal team on a contract basis. This role focuses on civil litigation defense and requires someone who can manage case documentation, coordinate filings, and assist attorneys with day-to-day litigation support. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable handling multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:
• Support attorneys in civil defense matters by organizing case materials and maintaining accurate litigation files.
• Prepare and submit court documents through the appropriate electronic filing platform, including work within the Odyssey system.
• Draft legal materials such as subpoenas, interrogatory responses, pleadings, and other case-related documents.
• Coordinate discovery activities by compiling records, tracking deadlines, and assisting with document production.
• Arrange depositions by communicating with involved parties, confirming schedules, and preparing supporting materials.
• Create clear correspondence on behalf of attorneys and ensure communications are timely.
• Assist with transcription of dictated content when needed and help convert it into well-prepared legal documents.• Prior experience supporting civil litigation, preferably within a defense practice environment. • Working knowledge of court filing procedures and familiarity with the Odyssey e-filing system. • Ability to prepare subpoenas, discovery responses, pleadings, and other legal documentation with accuracy. • Hands-on experience managing discovery tasks and coordinating related deadlines. • Strong written communication skills for drafting legal correspondence and case materials. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments effectively. • Dictation and transcription experience is a plus.
The pay range for this position is $25 to $30. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
